Laurel Day

Laurel has owned and operated Do Something Co.—a creative event company—for over five years. After hosting countless creative workshops and mindful events she found herself wanting to foster the energy of those events a little longer. To allow people more time and space to create, connect and be inspired. So along with Mia, they hosted their first weekend retreat on the shores of Lake Michigan and found a way to extend those moments, just a little bit longer.

Mia Rose

Wellness Retreat Testimonial

“

I can honestly say I am in such a better headspace after the retreat. I feel as if I have gained a lot of clarity and inner calm since "letting go" with you ladies.

Truly enjoyed the various group activities and solo activities. The property was beautiful, the food was delicious and cooked with love. Everything felt intentional and well thought out. It was really a beautiful experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions below are supplied by The Lost Woods.

What do I pack?

Pack your personal essentials and check the weather before your arrival. Michigan can cover all 4 seasons in one day sometimes. Even in June, the nights can get chilly!

Extras you will want to add to your overnight bag comfortable walking shoes or boots, swimsuit and beach towel for a Sauna session, and, of course, a good book or any downtime activities you’d like to enjoy.

What about food?

All meals will be provided. We’ll have woodfired pizzas Friday evening and a farm to table dinner together Saturday. Breakfast is provided in the barn each morning and includes a homemade bagel, granola and coffee/tea. We will create our own charcuterie platter for lunch on Saturday.

We will keep water, sparkling beverages and some light snacks up for grabs in the barn. You’re welcome to pack additional snacks and drinks. A cooler is available outside each tent if needed.

Are there bugs, bears and coyotes?

YES! This is nature – unfiltered. We have bugs, bears and coyotes. Wildlife will leave you alone here if you leave it alone. Be sure to secure all trash cans with the lid as tight as possible and do NOT leave any food at your site. We always recommend doing a tick check if you go hiking through the woods during any season.

Where do I park?

We have a parking lot dedicated to our Glamping guests with its own entrance marked “parking”. Be sure to let us know your ETA and we will plan to meet you in the parking lot with our golf cart to take you and your luggage up to your Glamping site. We can assist you down at check-out as well. It is a hike back up to each site but we promise, the view is worth the hike!

Is there power?

No electricity at any of bell tent sites or A-Frame Cabin. The bathhouse and outhouse run off of the sun and there are no outlets for a hairdryer or curling iron. One less thing to pack :). We provide a charger for your phone/tablet in each tent.

The Geodesic Dome has electricity with several outlets.

The communal barn has power and this is where we will hold most of our group offerings. There is also a refrigerator in the barn should you have any medical or mothering needs that require refrigeration.

Where is the bathroom?

The bathhouse and outhouse are located approximately 250 feet from each site. Our big top tent is about 350 feet away. It also has its own port-a-potty if you need to go in the night and don’t want to walk that far. It is an outhouse with a modern seat. No flushing water – just a pit. It’s not scary – we promise! It’s all part of the experience.

The bathhouse has a hot water rain shower indoors and an outdoor shower for those hot summer days.

The Geodesic Dome has its own en-suite bathroom including heated floors, rain shower, flushing toilet and sink.
